Isaac Neufield – Maintenance
Park maintenance workers play a crucial role in ensuring that parks and recreational areas are clean, safe, and enjoyable for visitors. Their responsibilities include:
- Landscaping and Groundskeeping: Mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, planting flowers, and maintaining garden areas to keep the park visually appealing.
- Cleaning and Waste Management: Emptying trash bins, picking up litter, and ensuring restrooms and public areas are clean and sanitary.
- Equipment Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining park equipment such as benches, playground structures, picnic tables, and signage.
- Facility Upkeep: Performing routine inspections and minor repairs on park facilities including restrooms, shelters, and walking paths.
- Safety Checks: Identifying and addressing potential hazards to ensure park visitors’ safety, such as fixing broken equipment or clearing debris from trails.
- Seasonal Tasks: Preparing parks for different seasons, such as raking leaves in the fall installing snow fence in preparation for winter.
- Supporting Events: Assisting with setup and cleanup during community events and park programs.
- Reporting: Notifying supervisors about major repairs, safety concerns, or resource needs.

- Perform various odd jobs around the park to maintain cleanliness and functionality
